Online Payments

 NOTE:  If you are having issues paying online, remember to click the little box under the section that lists the charges the convenience   fee to say you accept.  In the Confirmation # Or Account # field, put any number.  If you still aren't able to submit a payment, please   follow the advice from Municipay below:

 MuniciPAY is compatible with all browsers, but it does work best on a computer, not a Smartphone or tablet device. That could be one thing causing   trouble for folks.  Otherwise it could be that they are not clicking the I Accept button, or they may be getting CV2 errors, which are fairly common.

 “CV2 Fail” occurs when the bank doesn’t recognize information the customer has entered; typically their expiration date, billing zip code, or security   code. They are able to resubmit their transaction, but would need to retype in all of their card data, including expiration date and security code. It
 could be that folks are confused when their card information disappears or are trying to resubmit the transaction without updating the expiration data   again, as that field isn’t blank and is easy to skip over. If you are having difficulty submitting a transaction call the City Finance Officer during working   hours and she may be able to help you with submitting a transaction for both camping and utility billing or you may directly contact  Municipay     support at # 877-590-5097. We can see all authorizations in real time, so we can tell whether the sale is even reaching us, and what the error   message is if they are getting one.

 FOR CAMPGROUND RESERVATIONS: Make sure you have called and made a reservation with Dave   (Campground Host) prior to paying online. You must reserve through Dave as the payment system is   separate from the reservation system. 

 FOR UTILITY PAYMENTS:  You can pay at the City Office with exact cash amount, check or pay your bill online. For online payments, a service fee 
 will apply. Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express all accepted.

 Credit Card Payments Made Online

 Now you can pay your City of Montrose, SD UTILITY BILLS from the comfort of your home or office by using our online payment service. Credit cards   accepted: MasterCard, Discover, American Express or Visa. A per transaction service fee of 2.65% or $3.00 minimum will be charged by the payment   processing company for this service.

 Electronic Check Payments Made Online

 The City of Montrose, SD now accepts electronic check payments using our online payment service. Payments will be charged to your checking or   savings account at your bank. You will need your 9-digit routing number, as well as your account number from your personal checks (see example   below). A per transaction service fee of $1.50 will be charged by the payment processing company for this service.
